Dr. Ashish Agarwalla

Dr. Ashish Agarwalla, Consultant in Medicine at Siu-Ka-Pha Hospital. He had passed MBS from GMCH, Guwahati. After completing his internship at GMCH, he worked as a medical officer in Sissiborgaon Block PHC, Dhemaji, for one year.  During this period, he has actively participated in flood halted part of Assam. Later, he did his postgraduation from Guwahati Medical College and Hospital in General Medicine, during which he had undergone rigorous training by seeing innumerable OPD, inpatients, ICU patients, Geriatric and also Rheumatology. He has expertise in various medical diagnostic procedures like Pleural tapping, Peritonocentesis, Lumber puncture, Bone marrow aspiration, and biopsy. He has also an inclination towards gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures and biopsies and currently doing those at Siukapha Hospital. He has done his thesis on Anaemia in Diabetes patients.

After completing his post-graduation, he worked as Medicine Specialist at Biswanath Chariali  and Nemcare Hospital, Tezpur, Assam.

Dr. Ashish Agarwalla has a special interest in Gastroenterology, Rheumatology, and diabetes.  and wishes to pursue further expertise in those areas. He is currently pursuing fellowships in evidence-based diabetes management under the public health education of India (PHFI) and Dr. Mohan Diabetes Education Academy. He is also a member of the Indian Medical Association.

Apart from being a good physician, his goal in life is to serve the needy and provide them with the best healthcare services. With this motto in life, he has joined Siukapha Hospital to serve the people of the upper Assam region and to give them the best care they deserve.

Evidence Based Diabetes Management certification course from public health Foundation Of India, New Delhi & Dr Mohan’s Diabetes Education Academy, Chennai

After completing his post-graduation, he had work as medicine specialist at Biswanath Chariali Civil Hospital and served the needy tribal people of that area. He also worked as a medicine specialist at Nemacre Hospital in Tezpur.

Currently, he is associated with SSMH, as a medicine consultant. He has managed innumerable OPD cases, inpatients, ICU patients, and emergency cases, also looking after dialysis services.
