Dr Ankita Bihani

Dr. Ankita Bihani is a Consultant in Paediatrics at Siu-Ka-Pha Hospital.

With an excellent academic record of being a state topper of Assam in HSLC and HSSLC exam. Dr Ankita did her MBBS from GMCH. She has always been amongst the top 10 rankers in her batch of 150 students. She completed her MD course with a Gold Medal in paediatrics in 2018.

She has a special interest in basic life support and paediatric advanced life support for which she is also the instructor for North East region. She has also trained nurses regarding facility based new born care (FBNC). She has also done diploma in paediatric nutrition from Boston University and always councils her patient regarding the right nutrition for them.

Her clinical skills are also excellent which includes paediatric and neonatal consultation intubation, double volume exchange transfusion and surfactant administration

She has a keen interest in neonatology and wants to give the tiny human the best of care. She has special interest in low-birth-weight babies’ care. Her dedication is not limited to the hospital paediatric care, she travels far away resources limited places in barriers health camp to spread awareness and to screen children for diseases.

She has served in rural areas, Jorhat districts by working at the state dispensary for a period of one year and then worked at Jorhat Medical College and Hospital, in Paediatrics department.
